Kito (Jorge Arias) Bio

Jorge Arias (Kito) is an Argentinean born, practicing Architect in New York, where he has lived for almost 25 years. He is the son and apprentice of Latin American artist Jorge Arias Saavedra, from whom he has learned his trade since childhood.

Kito expresses his artistic ideas through architecture, painting, and music. The conviction that these three disciplines complement and retrofit each other has been a stronghold in his career and formation. In a perfect day, Kito would design the layout and facades of a building, sketch a portrait, and play guitar and drums with his family in the evening.

Kito graduated as an Architect in Argentina, and then completed postgraduate studies at the Kyushu Institute of Design in Fukuoka, Japan, and later at Columbia University in New York, USA. During his stay in Japan, he traveled several Asian and European countries drawing, painting, and sketching works of art including nature, paintings, and buildings.

 Currently, as his architectural practice grows to design and build large scale projects, his paintings are also emerging and finding public and private spaces New York. This is a journey through an open road, which continues to be driven by the synergy of architecture, painting, and music.
